ALMOND CRISPS
SUMMARY
Delight in the subtle aroma and rich taste of almonds with these simple-to-make almond balls. Whip up a batch to enjoy a wholesome, satisfying snack anytime!
Ingredients (serves 3-4):
- 200g (7 oz) slivered almonds
- 150g (5.3 oz) almond flour
- 130g (4.6 oz) powdered sugar
- 400g (14 oz) all-purpose flour
- 1.25 cups sunflower oil
Seasonings:
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. each black and white sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Chop slivered almonds into very fine pieces, then mix with almond flour, powdered sugar, flour, and sunflower oil to form a dough.
- Weigh out 13 - 15g (0.5 oz) portions of dough and shape them into balls (do not roll or knead).
- Mix soy sauce and milk, then brush each ball with the mixture. Sprinkle with black and white sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated 175°C (350°F) oven until golden brown.
