ALMOND CRISPS


SUMMARY

Delight in the subtle aroma and rich taste of almonds with these simple-to-make almond balls. Whip up a batch to enjoy a wholesome, satisfying snack anytime!

Ingredients (serves 3-4):

  • 200g (7 oz) slivered almonds
  • 150g (5.3 oz) almond flour
  • 130g (4.6 oz) powdered sugar
  • 400g (14 oz) all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cups sunflower oil

Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • 1 tbsp. each black and white sesame seeds

Instructions:

  • Chop slivered almonds into very fine pieces, then mix with almond flour, powdered sugar, flour, and sunflower oil to form a dough.
  • Weigh out 13 - 15g (0.5 oz) portions of dough and shape them into balls (do not roll or knead).
  • Mix soy sauce and milk, then brush each ball with the mixture. Sprinkle with black and white sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated 175°C (350°F) oven until golden brown.
