To uphold the Founding Abbot, Grand Master Weichueh's vision to awaken and encourage college and university Buddhist club leaders to share the Dharma on campus, the monastery organized a "Nationwide College and University Buddhist Club Leadership Training Camp" from February 8 to 10, 2025. Nearly 40 colleges and universities from across Taiwan participated, with club presidents and leaders gathering at Chung Tai in a spirit of joy and dedication.
The training camp focused on the Four Tenets of Chung Tai and the Four Bodhisattva Ways of Fellowship, guiding students through Dharma teachings, discussions, lamp-offering ceremonies, and vow-making activities. These programs helped participants establish right understanding of the Dharma, develop practical strategies for managing Buddhist clubs, and cultivate a strong resolve to spread the Dharma. By ensuring the sustainable development of university Buddhist clubs, the spirit of compassion and wisdom can flourish across campuses, inspiring more young students to joyfully embrace Buddhism and embark on the luminous bodhi path.
Through theme-based courses, students deepened their understanding of the Dharma and learned effective methods for managing Buddhist clubs.
In the Great Chan Hall on the fifth floor, students practiced meditation, following the guidance of Dharma masters to calm, purify, and awaken the mind.
The camp director led all participants in a heartfelt lamp-offering and vow-making ceremony before the Founding Abbot Pagoda.
During interactive activities, students engaged in scenario-based exercises to enhance their skills in Buddhist club recruitment.
